The Ponte Maria Callas is the only bridge named after a singer. Maria Callas performed many times in the adjacent Teatro La Fenice between 1947 and 1954 and was given the special honor of being named godmother.
There is generally little boat traffic in this area, but it is an even more popular gondola route.
