Fälensee is a lake in the Alpanetein Mountains in the of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden in Switzerland.
The lake is located in the rear part of the southeastern of the two longitudinal valleys of the Alpstein massif, in a very narrow valley between the Bollenwees mountain inn and the Zwingli Pass, nestled between Hundsteingrat and Roslen-Saxer First.
It is located 1446 m above sea level and has a surface area of 0.12 km².The Fählensee is one of the most visited places in the Alpstein, It is best reached from Appenzell by bus to Brülisau and then a longer walk, or from Sax in the canton of St. Gallen via the Saxer Lücke.
