Kléftiko is a famous network of caves located in the southwest of the island of Mílos, Greece.
Kleftiko is a set of grey-white rocks with strange shapes and formations, with caves and pits. The name Kléftiko dates back to the era of piracy in the Mediterranean, a period during which the Kléftiko region was so named because of the existence of coves serving as a base for pirates to attack passing ships. At the same time, the caves in the region are used as shelters in bad weather conditions.
Today, Kléftiko is a popular destination, accessible by excursion boats or hiking trails ,and consists one of the most photographed parts of the Greek islands and beyond.
