the unique beauty of the Cinque Terre , with its colorful villages . They are very few and therefore it is not easy to swim in the ( Italy  )waters of the sea.

This is not the case for Monterosso. Here the beaches are there and they are beautiful. Even in 2007 the beach of Fegina was proclaimed by the American magazine “Forbes” among the 25 sexiest in the world.

Reaching it is easy, especially if you arrive by train. You go down the stairs coming from the train station and Fegina beach is immediately there, in front, on the right, on the left. The walk can start from the “giant” of Punta Mesco, in the western part of Monterosso.
You will then pass in front of two pictorial “faraglioni”, big rocks against which the sea fringes moving the beach. Just opposite the Piccolo Eden bar, built on stilts in 1920, is the ideal place for a break. At the end of the promenade, a tunnel allows the passage to the ancient part of the village of Monterosso, which can also be reached through a path that goes beyond the promontory.
Beyond the promontory the second beach of Monterosso, also very beautiful, enclosed between the marina and the viaduct on which the train passes.
The promenade and the beaches end where the walk begins to Manarola, the so-called “Sentiero Azzurro”, which then between Manarola and Riomaggiore will become the “Via dell’Amore”.
