Foggy Lake is a glacial lake ( glacial lake is a body of water with origins from glacier activity ) located 1,592 meters above sea level lies in Snohomish County, Washington (state) and in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.The beautiful Lake, tucked between Del Campo Peak and Gothic Peak.
The lake is ais a favorite destination for nature lovers and adventurers . consindered as one of the Top 10 Backpacking Trips in country. Foggy Lake doesn’t melt out until August or September
Definitely a challenging trail, From here, one can also make climbs of Del Campo Peak is on the far side of the lake, and the spires of Gothic Peak are to the left ,they are popular Class 3 scrambles.
Access : Coordinates: 47.983889, -121.467222 / From Highway 92 to its end in Granite Falls. At the T intersection near the east end of town, turn left onto the Mountain Loop Highway. Follow this road 11 miles to the Verlot Ranger Station for , permits, and trail information. 19.3 miles past the ranger station is Barlow Pass and the end of paved road. Here you will find a parking lot on the north side of the road. Park at Barlow Pass and proceed on foot for 1.7 miles on the Monte Cristo Road. The trailhead is on the right.
