The Glade Creek Grist Mill is one of the most-photographed structures in the state, photographers and artists capturing the beauty of this iconic setting
The  picturesque wooden grist mill was built in 1975 by the West Virginia State Parks Department on this boulder strewn stream in Babcock State Park in West Virginia ( US  ) . Located 20 miles south of the New River Gorge Bridge, the park is most known for the Glade Creek Grist Mill, made from parts of three old mills, of Cooper’s Mill.
the focal point of the park is the new Grist, mill, completed in 1976, also known as Cooper’s Mill, is functional and the model for many paintings and photographs in the four seasons for tourists, people, and many different artists . An interesting fact was that it is built of parts and pieces of the three mills that are no longer nearby. Depending on the current conditions and availability, you can buy fresh low flour in this  mill. A memory of life in a much simpler time and A living monument to the over 500 mills which thrived in West Virginia at the turn of the century.

Access : Coordinates: 37.980841, -80.946875 / Sh 41 south of Clifftop, NE of Beckley, West Virginia. / From south of Clifftop to Landisburg, turn right on Cr 19-Sewell Rd. and go about 0.6 miles to Park Forest Road 804. Turn right and look for signs within Babcock State Park-you are about 0.5 miles from the mill.

Activities : Photograph the Glade Creek Grist Mill , There are many angles to photograph the mill from ,downstream below the waterfall is probably the best angle
