The Hachimantai Dragon Eye, is a mysterious landscape created by the natural phenomenon of Kagami-numa, located near the summit of Mt. Hachimantai , in north-eastern Japan.

From winter to spring, large amounts of snowmelt water flows into the swamp, lifting the central part due to buoyancy. As the weather gets warmer, the snow in the center of the area begins to melt, forming a dragon’s eye.Dragon Eye, is attracting attention as a new tourist attraction in Hachimantai.
The Hachimantai Sancho Rest House, located right next to the parking lot, has restrooms, a rest area, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop.
