Kersey is a small town and a civil parish of the district of Babergh, in the county of Suffolk , England, United Kingdom.
The parish contains the village of Quercy and the hamlets of Quercy Tay, Quercy Upland, Wicker Street Green, and William Green.
His main claim to fame is that the coarse woolen cloth called Kersey takes its name from this place. The cloth was originally made there, but later in many other places.
The village is known for its well preserved picturesque main street with medieval timber-framed houses and the ford of the Brett River tributary, known locally as “The Splash”.

- St Mary’s Church : During the Middle Ages, St. Mary’s was an important place of pilgrimage, and the shrine filled the entire north aisle. It survived Henry VIII’s dissolution program but was destroyed during the civil war. On March 8, 2020, the shrine was re-consecrated.The oldest parts of the church date back to the 12th century. It is believed that the reconstruction of the church began with the north aisle, which was connected to the nave by an arcade and completed in 1335.
