Mokapu beach located in south kihie,on Southwest Maui, about 25 minutes from Kahului Airport ( Hawaiian islands, U.S.A ) . Mokapu is a nice Sandy beach ,great for whale watching, snorkelling, swimming , or just relaxing on the beach. Clear water, white sand, showers, restrooms make it a favorite day spot.
Mokapu Beach Park and Ulua Beach Park are right next to each other, just separated by rocks in the water.
Access : Coordinates: 20.69345 -156.44380 / Southwest Maui, about 25 minutes from Kahului Airport / This beach is at the north end of the Wailea Beach Path.
Highlights :
- The coastal sidewalk that parallels multiple beaches starts mid-Mokapu and extends to Polo Beach heading south.There are 4 public beaches along the path (length of path is abput 1.5 miles)
- There is a free public access parking lot shared by Mokapu and Ulua Beaches.
- Mokapu beach is a great place for photos and watching the sunset.
