La Paz Waterfall is a waterfall north of Alajuela in the Sarapiquí district of the central canton of the province of Alajuela in central Costa Rica.
The waterfall is located just off the Alajuela highway that leads to the northern plains of Costa Rica. The waterfall can be seen from Route 126, which has a bridge at the base of this waterfall that has been destroyed and restored twice. Upstream of the waterfall are the so-called La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a hotel and park.

- La Paz Waterfall Gardens : The gardens consist of three kilometers of paved paths throughout the lush rainforest. The trails allow you to view the falls from many different angles. At La Paz Gardens is the orchid garden and the frog pond where you will find the small poison dart frog among others!, the Serpentarium which contains at least 30 different species of native snakes. The largest butterfly garden in the world, approximately the size of a football field! ,as well as exhibitions of heliconias and bromeliads. Fauna in the park includes white-faced and spider monkeys, 26 species of hummingbirds, two-toed sloths, jaguar, pumas, ocelots, margays, jaguarundi, 40 species of birds such as toucans and macaws, frogs and 30 species of snakes.
