Ona is Norway’s southernmost living fishing village which is located on the tiny island of Ona in the municipality of Ålesund, in the county of Møre og Romsdal.
The historic village of Ona extends across almost the entire island ,Ona has been known for its rich bird life, and from the 1970s many ornithologists have visited the island.
The lighthouse and the island itself have become a fairly well-known tourist spot in the Vestlandet region ,In recent times, the island has also become known for pottery production ,In the area there is a small summer café, two pottery workshops, a craft shop, a chapel and a long, white sandy beach, On the island there are holiday homes located directly on the quay, you can stay overnight.
