Grote Knip (officially Kenepa Grandi, also: Playa Abou: “Beach in a valley”) is a public beach in a bay in the northwest of the Caribbean island of Curacao.

Grote Knip is considered the most photographed beach on the island of Curacao with the typical characteristics of a Caribbean beach properties such as fine sand and turquoise water. The beach is frequented by tourists and locals alike. The bay is used for snorkelling and cliff jumping. For experienced swimmers, a reef in front of the bay can be reached in about ten minutes. Access : Coordinates:12.351667, -69.151667 / The Grote Knip is located in the northwest of the island, approximately in the middle between the towns of Westpunt and Lagun and is about an hour’s drive from Willemstad away. About one kilometer south is the beach Kleine Knip (Kenepa Chiki).
