Rock City Gardens is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lookout Mountain ,in the state of Georgia , United States.
Since 1932, the area with its remarkable rock formations has been operated as an amusement park under the name “Rock City Gardens”.
Through Rock City, winding trails lead past many natural rock formations with names such as Mushroom Rock, Balanced Rock, Fat Man’s Squeeze and Grand Corridor corridor. There is the “Swing-Along Bridge” suspension bridge, which is about 120 meters (400 feet) long, the “Lover’s Leap” lookout point, meaning a lovelorn suicide jump, an old local legend indigenous people, fairytale caves and an artificial waterfall (“High Falls”, 43 meters high). All of this is surrounded by gardens with selected trees, bushes and flowers.
Rock City is located on Lookout Mountain, a mountain 729 meters high , Therefore, from Rock City you have a wide view of the surrounding area.
Rock City hosts numerous events throughout the year, including bird of prey shows, a Saint Patrick’s Day festival in March, a flower festival in May, music festivals in the summer, Rocktoberfest, Christmas illuminations, and more.
