St. Catherine’s Cathedral known as Sé Catedral , is a Catholic cathedral in Old Goa, Goa state ,India.
The cathedral, built between 1562 and around 1651/51, was intended to express the claim to power, wealth and reputation of the Portuguese colonial empire through its magnificent architecture.
The cathedral is the cathedral church of the archdiocese of Goa and Daman. This is the largest Catholic church in India and one of the largest in Asia, and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
