Shi Shi Beach (pronounced shy shy) Considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the Washington Coast, this stretch of sand features tide pools, sea stacks and headland.

Shi Shi Beach, although within the national park, is edged by the Makah Indian Reservation, which also regulates access.

Access : Coordinates: N48 17.622 W124 39.918 / Address: Shi Shi Beach Rd., Clallam Bay, WA 98326 / By boat : You can request for moorage at the Makah Marina which is right at the city center. By plane : Sekiu Airport 11S IATA can be used for general aviation and air taxi. If your aircraft need to land in a longer runway, you may land at Forks and Port Angeles. The nearest airports for commercial passenger flights are in Sea-Tac SEA IATA and Victoria YYJ .
By car : From Port Angeles, drive US-101 west for 5 miles. Turn onto SR-112 west for 64 miles to Neah Bay. Continue on Bayview Ave. for 1 mile  left on Fort St  right on Third Street  left on Cape Flattery Road. Drive 2.5 miles, then left on Hobuck Road. Drive the last 4.3 miles, following signs for the fish hatchery, to trailhead and day use parking. Overnighters must park about 0.6 mile back at a private home. It’s $10 per day, cash, for every day you will be parked there.

Fees and permits : Day hikers to Shi Shi Beach will need a Makah Recreation Pass. Overnight users will need both the Makah Pass and a wilderness camping permit which is available at the Wilderness Information Center.

Special Concerns : Leave No Trace of your stay , Do not build driftwood furniture ,
Safety : Know the tides, Carry a map and tide chart , Be prepared to hike over headland trails during high tides , When camping on the beach, be sure to camp above the high tide water line.
