The Gate of Dolmabahçe Palace located on the shores of the Bosphorus , in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey.
Dolmabahçe is the largest saraj in Turkey. It has an area of 45,000 m 2 and contains 285 rooms, 46 halls, 6 baths ( hammam ) and 68 toilets. It is one of the country’s most impressive Ottoman palaces, influenced by the Baroque and Rococo styles. Since 1984 it has been a museum that traces the history of the Ottoman Empire and the new republic.
The Dolmabahce Palace and specialy the impressive Imperial Gate overlooking the Bosphorus has become a recognizable location in Istanbul and a popular place for insta-photo shoots in Turkey.
