The Umbrella walkway at Moominvalley Park, located about 40 kilometers northwest of Tokyo in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

Moominvalley Park’s Umbrella Sky, which uses about 1,200 umbrellas, is the largest in Japan!
“Moominvalley and Umbrella” is recommended for both sunny days when the sunlight filtering through the trees is beautiful, and rainy days.
This Umbrella Sky is based on the Moomin Comics original “Let’s build a house”. The story is about Mimura’s mother, Little My, and Mii’s sisters who came to the Moomin mansion, and the slapstick commotion involving the friends of Moominvalley.

Highlights :

  • About 1,200 umbrellas are used, and the length of the corridor is about 200m. Moominvalley Park’s Umbrella Sky is one of the largest in Japan.
  • The umbrella display is free to view. However, as the spring umbrella sky is in Moominvalley park, you have to pay to enter the theme park.Moominvalley Park is open from 10am-5pm, Sat, Sun & holidays from 10am-6pm.
