The Japanese town of Kitakyushu, which is a 4-hour drive from Tokyo, is famous for its Kawachi Fuji Garden, one of the main attractions of which is the Wisteria Tunnel.

The main attraction of the Kawachi Fuji Flower Garden is the Wisteria Tunnel, covered with a rare variety of double petal wisteria and covering an area of ​​1000 m². When you enter the tunnel during its flowering, you seem to find yourself in a fairy tale, slowly strolling in the center of a fascinating rainbow of flowers.The peak of the season – Golden Week – traditionally falls on the end of April. The Wisteria Festival is held annually from 27 to 29 April.

You can get from the center of Kitakyushu to Kawachi Fuji Gardens by a rented car along Route 62. Travel time is no more than 15 minutes. / By bus : Bus number 56 runs from Yahata train station, you need to get off at the stop at the Kawachi Elementary School. Then 10-15 minutes walk to the gardens.
