The -Wulanhada Volcano Geopark ……the ‘natural museum of volcanoes is a volcanic eruption zone in northwest China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.  from the north side of the northern slope of the Greater Xing’an Mountains, the Nuominhe volcanic group.

Passing through the Aershan-Chaihe volcanic group and the Xilinhot-Abaga volcanic group in the Greater Xing’an Mountains, arrive in the south of the Uygur of Chahar Right The Wulanhada volcanic group stretches for nearly a thousand kilometers, and the Wulanhada volcanic group was not known to the volcanic community at home and abroad until 2012.
As a local tourist attraction, they attract a large number of tourists and greatly enrich the local tourism industry. Volcanic eruptions also play a role in the local industry and agriculture.

/ Volcano Geopark is located in Inner Mongolia, about 380 kilometers away from Beijing / The volcanic geological park is very large, so you must drive by yourself.

Highlights :

  •  Inner Mongolia Ulan Hada Volcano Geological Park is located in the central part of Inner Mongolia, Ulan Hada Sumu, Chahar Youyihouqi, Ulan Qab City, only 380 kilometers from Beijing. Gathering grassland volcanoes, lava landforms and dammed lake landscapes, it is known as the natural “volcano museum”.
  •  There are more than 30 volcanoes, large and small, of which The three volcanoes in the Wulanhada area are the most obvious. The volcanic community is also accompanied by two lakes, Swan Lake and Baiyinnur Lake. According to estimates, the most recent eruption occurred during the Holocene -10,000 years ago
  •  The geopark is very unique, a volcanic crater, the aerial photography is spectacular.

Opening hours : All day (January 1-December 31 Monday-Sunday) / In 2018, due to the surge of tourists and the destruction of local ecology by Wulanhada volcanoes, the scenic spot was closed to the outside world – The scenic area is completely free of charge.
