Abiqua Falls. Located in Scotts Mills , a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States.

Abiqua Falls Located within the Santiam State Forest. The Abiqua Creek originates near Lookout Mountain and flows 29 miles northwest to its confluence with Pudding Creek about 2 miles west of Silverton.
Abiqua Falls is a  free-falling waterfall of 92 feet in height ,  There is a large rocky area jutting out into the pool from which you can admire the falls, or walk over the mossy rocks to the left around the edge of the bowl . Abiqua Falls is considered today one of Oregon’s most popular waterfalls.

Access : Coordinates: N 44° 55′ 35.7204″ W 122° 34′ 01.5888″ / Scotts Mills, Oregon ,North-central Oregon in Willamette Valley, 50 miles south of Portland./ A high clearance vehicle is preferred.

Highlights :

  • Abiqua Falls lies on land owned by the Mount Angel Abbey who have graciously allowed public access to the falls.
  • Hiking to Abikwa Falls along a fairly straightforward trail is not easy, but well worth the effort.The trail is primarily used for hiking.
  • The best viewing area is from the rocks that protrude into the pool.
  • The stream begins in the Abiqua Basin about 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Silver Falls State Park and flows down the canyon. Ridges to the north and south separate its watershed from Silver Creek in the south and Butte Creek in the north.
