Alona Beach is a small tropical popular public beach located at the south-west tip of Panglao Island, Bohol in the Philippines.
It is known for its white sands, rocky cliffs and commercial facilities that border a 1 km stretch of beach.The beach is named after Filipino actress Alona Alegre, who ran naked on the beach in 1973 in the film “Esteban” which she co-starred with Fernando Poe Jr.
Alona Beach is the most popular beach on Panglao Island , It is located near a coral reef, and is a popular dive site. It is less than 3 km from Bohol-Panglao International Airport , is easy to get to, has tons of Hotels and Resorts and plenty to do and see.
Access : Coordinates: 9.548611, 123.770833 / There is a regular bus service from the airport to Tagbilaran City.The island is connected to the main island of Bohol by two bridges: the Suarez Bridge and the Governor Borja Bridge.
