Betina  is a pebble beach located in a cave between the picturesque villa Šeherezada and Gjivovići beach in Dubrovnik in Croatia.

The beach was named after Beta, as they called the great Dubrovnik scientist Marin Getaldić, who performed various optical experiments and research in the cave. The beach cannot be reached by land, but only by sea.

Access : Coordinates: 42°38’22.20″N, 18°7’22.61″E / Betina Špilja located between Banje and Sveti Jakov beaches.

Highlights :

  • The famous Croatian tennis player and Wimbledon winner Goran Ivanišević came to Betina Cave with his family for a swim during his stay in Dubrovnik to swim in peace.
  • The fastest arrival is swimming from the beach Gjivovići or by canoeing  accompanied by a guide.
