The Bisti-De-Na-Zin Wilderness spans 182 km2 of wilderness located in San Juan County in the US state of New Mexico.
The area is full of colorful hilly mounds that form a very unusual landscape. Irreally formed rocks froze in the strangest positions, like a not quite completed masterpiece of nature.Established in 1984 and managed by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, the wilderness area is a severely eroded wilderness with only three private Navajo lands inhabited within its borders.
The place seems like an enchanted, magical kingdom, with its rock formations seeming to come from an imaginary land.
