La Digue,Seychelles

La Digue is the fourth largest granite island in the Seychelles, after the island of Mahe, Praslin and Silhouette and is the third most populous island.
the main industry of the island is tourism,  and it is famous for its beaches, especially Anse Source d’Argent and Grand Anse. La Digue has experienced a marked increase in tourist activity, which has had a decisive impact on the economy of Seychelles. Formerly the production of copra and vanilla were the main bastions of the local economy, which can be recalled in the museum of the island.
The Veuve Nature Reserve, in the interior of the island, is the habitat of the rare monarch-colilargo of the Seychelles, of which there is only a population of about a hundred living specimens. The highest peak of La Digue is also in the central part of the island, the Belle Vue (mountain of the Eagle’s Nest) with 300 meters of height. La Digue is also visited because of its rich and colorful marine fauna, which includes, among other fish, sharks and striped rays.
