Lake Jasna lies only 1.5 km from Kranjska Gora, along the road leading to Vršič.
Lake Jasna is the name of two interconnected artificial lakes located near Kranjska Gora  (  in the Julian Alps – in north-western Slovenia ) along the road to the Vrsic pass.

Located on the Vrsiska Cesta of the local road 206. There is a recreation area around the lake. Here on a stone is the statue of the chamois with the golden horns from the legend Zlatorog, who lived high up on Mount Triglav in a fairytale garden and guarded a treasure there. The story was first published in German by Karel Dezman in 1868.

An 1877 version of the poet Rudolf Baumbach became very popular, and in 1904 Anton Askerc renewed the saga in his well-known epic poem Zlatorog that became part of the national Slovenian epic.
This beautiful pearl, surrounded by the peaks of the Julian Mountains, will calm you down and at the same time fill you with new energy. The water in Lake Jasna is crystal clear. The lake is one of the most beautiful treasures in Slovenia and is located in the immediate vicinity of Kranjska Gora.
