McGalliard Falls Park, located in Valdese, NC in the heart of Burke County, North Carolina.The falls is owned by the city of Valdese, North Carolina, which has built a city park around the falls. The falls was home to a mill called Meytre of the grain mill, which was built in 1906 by Fred Meytre. The mill remained in operation until 1941, when Mr. Meytre became too old to run the mill without younger men, who were being called to serve during the Second World War. The mill was rebuilt in 1982 for the park.

Church Street NW , Valdese, NC 28690 / From Morganton, Drive east on I-40 for about 6 miles and take Exit 111. Then turn right onto Carolina Street, heading toward Valdese.
Drive for 1.6 miles to Main Street, then turn left on Main Street (U.S. 70).
Drive another 0.5 mile and turn right on Church Street. The park entrance is 1.35 miles on the right.
