Pisco Elqui is a village in the commune of Paihuano, Elqui Province, Coquimbo Region in northern Chile.
Located at an altitude of 1300 m above sea level ,It is one of the main tourist destinations of the Elqui Valley. Historically, the first production of the drink pisco was recorded here in the 16th century.
What is particularly attractive about the Elqui Valley is the climate, which offers around 360 days of sunshine per year. It also impresses with its proximity to the Andes cordillera as well as the rural and old villages. Furthermore, the uniquely clear sky offers the best conditions for visiting one of the numerous observatories in the region, which are internationally known.
