Bells Beach is a Legendary Surf Spot ,in Surf Coast Shire ,a local government area in the Barwon South West region of Victoria, Australia.
The Bells area, internationally known for its breaking waves, is made up of the beaches of Southside, Centreside, Rincón, Winki Pop, Lowers and Lower Lowers, The waves at Bells are some of the best in the world, being quite tubular, fast and long.
Surfers discovered Bells Beach in the early 1950s. In January 1962, Vic Tantau and Peter Troy organized the first surf event. In 1973, The Bells Beach Surf Classic or Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach began, a surf test valid for the ASP World Tour that continues to be held today, making it the oldest event in professional surfing.
Currently Bells Beach is one of the most important and famous beaches in all of Australia.
