The Sept-Iles lighthouse is located on Ile aux Moines ( an French island of the Sept-Îles archipelago in the English Channel. ), the only island in the Sept-Iles archipelago where you can disembark. It was built next to the ruins of an 18th century fort.

The first lighthouse, a round tower, was lit in May 1835 and then replaced in 1854 by a square tower 5 meters higher, attached to the first tower.
Destroyed on August 4, 1944 it was rebuilt in 1949 and re-lit in July 1952. In 1957, it used wind energy for power supply. Its wind turbine is the most powerful in a lighthouse in France.
The lighthouse is 20 meters high. It is built next to the ruins of an 18th century fort whose function was to combat piracy and smuggling.
The Lighthouse of Sept-Iles is a monument located in the town of Tregastel (Cotes-d’Armor, Brittany). It is an attraction for holidaymakers during a stay in the region.,It is one of the last French lighthouses at sea to be guarded and can be visited.
