In the northern part of Lake Borovoe ( Borovoe national park, Kazakhstan ) The main attraction of the area is called the Zhumbaktas rock – a mystery rock whose outline on one side resembles an Egyptian sphinx, on the other an old woman, and on the third a beautiful girl.
Zhumbaktas Rock is located in the ecological zone of the State National Natural Park “Burabay”, about 4 km from the village of Burabay, in the middle of the Blue Bay. By renting a boat or catamaran you can get to the rock. Climbing on it is prohibited for safety reasons.The amazing nature of Burabay has created many bizarre attractions here. Zhumbaktas Rock is considered one of the most popular places for tourists to visit.
