Cordillera Huayhuash is a mountain range in the Andes, part of the Western Cordillera of Peru.
The Cordillera Huayhuash stretches in a north-south direction over a length of around 30 km and is hardly developed in terms of infrastructure.
The cordillera has become a popular place for trekking, notably thanks to the “Huayhuash circuit” which is considered quite difficult and is significantly more demanding than the famous Inca Trail in southern Peru. The trails of the Cordillera Huayhuash are less frequented than those of the Cordillera Blanca, located 50 km away. The tour usually takes between 10 and 14 days, depending on the route taken.
The Cordillera is considered one of the most beautiful and uncontaminated places in the world, thanks to its extreme inaccessibility.
