The Hooker Valley Track is a 5 kilometers walking track within the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park on the South Island of New Zealand.

This relatively flat and not too long walk leads you through breathtaking landscape. Along the way you walk between the mountains, cross suspension bridges and get fantastic views of Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain. The walking route through the valley largely consists of a well-constructed and maintained gravel path. The end point is at Hooker Lake, a lake with ice floes and when the clouds disappear, a great view of Mount Cook.
The Hooker valley track is one of the most popular walks ,  also one of the easiest and  definitely something to put on your list if you are traveling through New Zealand.
