Ko Khao Phing Kan (also known as”James Bond Island”) is an island in Phang Nga Bay northeast of Phuket, in southern Thailand.
The island is located in Takua Thung County in Phang Nga Province. It originally consisted of a large rock that then split into two pieces. The smaller part has slipped down, the larger part appears to be leaning on its side.
Since 1974, when it appeared in The Man with the Golden Gun , one of the James Bond films , it has been popularly referred to as James Bond Island .
