Stocking Island is a small sandbar island off Georgetown Harbor on Great Exuma Island in the Bahamas.
Stocking Island located in the Exuma District, in the southeastern part of the country, 230 km southeast of the capital Nassau, It is approximately three miles long and protects the city from ocean waves, creating a natural port.
The central part of Stocking Island has an inlet called “Hurricane Hole” where sailing ships seeking protection during storms anchor, and which has a “blue hole.”
Largely untouched by mass tourism and a guarded secret for those that have discovered its beauty’s , the island features some amazing beaches and several resorts, the Stocking Island today is attractive to yachtsmen and divers.
