Shirley Heights is a famous historic lookout in Antigua, a caribean island in the Lesser Antilles.
The Shirley Heights Lookout was first used during the War of American Independence (1774-1783) as a signal station, overlooking English Harbour , Between 1781 and 1825 numerus structures were built , included a fort with barracks, officers’ quarters, powder magazines, and guard house.
The once military complex ,is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of Nelson’s Dockyard National Park.
