Changbai Waterfall located in Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province, in northeast People’s Republic of China.
It is a waterfall with a height of 68 meters. The water volume is at its peak in spring when the Tianchi at the top of Changbai Mountain is filled with melting snow. The water that falls from the waterfall flows into the Erdaobai River.
In 2000, the Guinness World Records recognized the waterfall as the longest waterfall in altitude, originating from a volcanic lake. The waterfall is known for its tourism. The waterfall can be visited throughout the year. There are wooden steps and covered walkways for tourists to approach the falls. The people of Korea and Jilin Province of China consider the water of Heaven Lake sacred. Therefore, Chinese and Korean tourists collect water from this waterfall in bottles.
