- The Xcalak Arrecifes National Park is home to more than 800 species of plants and animals.
- Banco de Chinchorro (Chinchorro Banks Biosphere Reserve). The Chinchorro Reef lies just offshore from Xcalak, It is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
- Dive sites : La Poza is the most famous dive site in Xcalak also known as The Tarpon Hole / The Chiminea / La Pozeta / Cannons , Nice dive site located near Xcalak./ Hob-Na and Punta Gavilán.
