Bikini Beach, or Playa Bikini located 16 km from the Punta del Este peninsula, on the Atlantic Coast in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay.
The color of the water is deep blue, with strong waves, as it faces the open sea. In summer, the white sands fill with people, who enjoy the afternoon listening to DJs. Bikini Beach was born as a center for surfing. It soon became one of the top spots in La Barra, where young people with high purchasing power, models and celebrities meet every afternoon.
