Lake Traful is located in the Los Lagos department of the province of Neuquén,in Argentine Patagonia in South America.
This lake is famous for its viewpoint, at 102 m, which offers a complete view of the body of water and the valley. On its southern coast is the mountain tourist town, Villa Traful, the main inhabited place in the lake basin.

Highlights :
- Submerged forest : In Lake Traful you can find trees up to 30 meters high that still stand today… Underwater. Located 30 meters deep on the bed of the lake located in Patagonia, the submerged forest recreates a fantasy landscape.
- The most important part of the economy is based on tourism, especially sport fishing, trekking, horse riding and mountaineering. Since Villa Traful is within a National Park, fishing and mountaineering are only allowed with authorization.
