Llastres is a small coastal town in the Colunga municipality, within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain.
According to tradition, the name comes from a rock at the entrance to the port, called Llastra, on which the sirens are said to have sung. The places to visit include the lighthouse about 1,500 meters from the village of Lluces, which is a few kilometers west of Llastres. Also noteworthy are the Church of Santa María de Sabada, declared an asset of cultural interest; it is a religious building of the 18th century and neoclassical baroque style it was designed by the architects Manuel Reguera and Joaquín Vigil. The tower or bell tower is from the end of the 19th century. in Capella de San Roque in the upper part of the town, in the field called San Roque, with a viewpoint from which you can see an impressive panorama of Llastres with its small fishing port, as well as the Serra del Sueve and the strip coastline.
Llastres has been listed as One of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain since 2014 and has belonged to the association of the same name since then. In 2010, Llastres received a Prince of Asturias Award, as the ‘Exemplary Town’ for its natural setting and historical value. definitely one of the most Instagrammable places in Asturias.
