Mehmed Pasha Sokolović Bridge is a bridge over the Drina River in Višegrad, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The bridge was built in the 16th century according to the design of the Turkish architect Sinan on the orders of Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolović. It is 179.5 meters long and consists of 11 arches connecting spans, ranging from 11 to 15 meters long. Three of them were destroyed during World War I and 5 during World War II. However, it was rebuilt each time.
The bridge is particularly known for being depicted in the 1945 novel It is a Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andrić, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1961.UNESCO included this building in the list of world heritage in 2007.
