What we sell
The Wanders Field Guides are digital PDF documents delivered instantly upon purchase. There are no physical products, no subscriptions and no recurring charges in our shop. Every purchase is a one-time transaction for a single downloadable file.
Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. This right is guaranteed by the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and applies regardless of what our own policy says.
You can submit a withdrawal request directly from your account: Go to My Account → Orders and use the withdrawal button next to your order. You will receive an email confirmation immediately. This function is available for the full duration of your 14-day withdrawal period.
Alternatively, contact us at hello@thewanders.eu with your order number and the subject line “Withdrawal Request.”
We will process your request and refund your full purchase price within 14 calendar days.
The digital content exception
When you purchase a Field Guide, you are asked at checkout to confirm the following:
“I agree that delivery of the digital content begins immediately upon purchase and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the download has started.”
If you ticked this box and have downloaded the guide, your 14-day withdrawal right ends at the moment of download. This is standard EU law for immediately delivered digital content (Article 16(m), Consumer Rights Directive).
If you have not yet downloaded the guide, your withdrawal right remains in full regardless of how much time has passed within the 14-day window.
Our goodwill policy
The legal framework above is what we are required to do. Here is what we choose to do.
If the guide is not what you expected If the content is materially different from its description on the product page, contact us within 14 days of purchase. We will refund you in full — regardless of whether you have downloaded it.
If you have a technical problem If your download fails, is corrupted or cannot be opened, we will resend the file immediately. If the problem cannot be resolved, we will refund you in full.
If you are genuinely unhappy We would rather refund you than have a dissatisfied reader. Contact us, tell us what went wrong, and we will find a solution. We do not issue blanket refunds for change-of-mind purchases after download — but we are reasonable people and we will listen.
What we cannot refund
We are unable to process a refund if:
- You downloaded the guide and consented to immediate delivery at checkout — unless the content is materially different from its description
- More than 30 days have passed since purchase
- The request relates to a free guide — free guides involve no purchase transaction
Defective or incorrect content
If a guide contains significant errors or is missing sections described on the product page, contact us at hello@thewanders.eu. We will send a corrected version or issue a full refund.
We update our guides regularly. If you purchased before a major update, we will send you the revised version at no charge.
