Bandujo ( Banduxu ) is a picturesque medieval village in the Asturian municipality of Proaza ,in northern Spain.
Banduxu located in the Asturian mountains, at an altitude of 700 m. Between valleys and mountains.Due to the altitude and isolation , this amazing village has preserved a medieval architectural complex in fantastic condition.
The church of Santa María is of medieval origin and underwent reforms in the 18th century. In the town, the house called “Palaciu” stands out for its importance, from which stands out its tower, known as “La Torre”, one of the best preserved late medieval defensive towers in Asturias. This building, which also served as a prison and council house, was declared an asset of cultural interest on October 29, 2009.
