Chronicle of Georgia (or History Memorial of Georgia) is a monument located near the artificial lake known as the Tbilisi Sea, In the picturesque capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
The construction of the ensemble took about 20 years, from 1985 to 2003, and the process of its completion has not yet been completed.The monument is located at the top of a large flight of stairs. There are 16 pillars between 30 and 35 meters tall and the top half features kings, queens and heroes while the bottom depicts stories from the life of Christ. There is a cross of vine branches of Santa Nino and a chapel.
The people nicknamed the monument “Georgian Stonehenge”, since the “History of Georgia” monument is impressive in its scale and resembles the famous English monument.
