Porto Cervo or simply Cervo is a fashionable resort on the Costa Smeralda in the north of Sardinia , in Italy.
The village was entirely thought out and designed in the 1960s by the famous Italian architect designer Luigi Vietti based on sketches by Jacques Couëlle, for the needs of the major tourist real estate development program of billionaire prince Karim Aga Khan IV. There are no more than two hundred permanent residents in the village.
The architectural style of the place combines old Sardinian traditions with modern elements. Porto Cervo has become a popular holiday destination for the international jet set, with a number of 4 and 5 star hotels available. The exclusive yacht club attracts billionaire yachts from all over the world to Cervo. Nearby there is a mini-dock for repairing the most expensive yachts.
