Sealpsee is an alpine lake in the territory of the commune of Schwende ,canton of Appenzell-Innerrhoden, in the Appenzell Alps in Switzerland.
The idyllic location, the clean water and two mountain inns make it one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Alpstein , so along its shores there is all the necessary infrastructure: hotels, cafes, etc. The largest hotel on the shore of the lake is called “Trout”, as this fish is found in abundance in these waters. A network of hiking trails connects the shores of the lake with other attractions in the region, such as the Säntis (2502 m) and Ebenalp (1640 m) mountains, and the Wildkirchli cave complex. The picturesque Seealpsee in Appenzell, considered one of the most photographed lakes in Switzerland.
