S’Alguer is a traditional fishing village – cove on the Costa Brava, in the municipality of Palamós of Catalonia, Spain.
Cala S’Alguer is a traditional fishing neighborhood, between the place of La Fosca and Platja de Castell, near the old castle of Sant Esteve de Mar. Lined up in front of the sea and sheltered under the wooded area that shelters them, there are the fishermen’s huts, old buildings intended to store boats and fishing gear, which retain all their charm as a beautiful testimony of a human activity intrinsically related to the sea.
This charming village is reachable only walking through one of the Costa Brava coastal paths, The GR 92 long distance footpath, which runs the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, passes near these picturesque huts.
