Playa de Zurriola is a sandy beach on the Cantabrian Sea, in the Gros district of the Spanish city of San Sebastian.
This well-known Surfer’s Beach is located in a commercial area of San Sebastián that has many sports shops, large department stores and art galleries. Playa de la Zurriola attracts surfers from all over the world because of its challenging waves and surf competitions. This beach is also a favorite destination for sports enthusiasts, who come here to play beach volleyball, soccer and beach tennis.
Important surfing events take place on this beach, such as the European Projunior ASP event that takes place in July. The beach has a local surf club and four surf schools, making it ideal for beginners.
