The De Adriaan mill located in the municipality of Haarlem, a city in the north-west of the Netherlands.
This mill was built in 1778, located in the central part of the city, on the banks of the river Spaarne, and is an apron-type mill. It was used to produce cement, paint and tanned hides and was later converted into a tobacco mill.
This mill was one of the most representative and impressive windmills in Holland, Nowadays, inside the mill there is a museum where it is explained how the mills worked in the past and you can get married there. When there is sufficient wind, the mill turns. The Adriaan windmill is a real center of attraction for local bloggers, photographers and tourists.
