Preikestolen is a cliff in Norway which rises 604 meters above the waters of the Lysefjord.
The size of the rock plateau is approximately 25 by 25 meters. The rock edge drops 604 meters vertically into the almost 40 kilometer long fjord.
Attracted by the view offered at the edge of the void, the thousands of hikers who go to the site each year make it one of the most important tourist sites in the country.
